Loved much, stalked a little, and published occasionally…
My family are insane, there’s not two ways about it. Insane. They give me material every day and so I write it down – because someone has to – otherwise it dies with us, and that would be a damn tragedy.
Plus, I have my very own internet stalker, and I don’t like to disappoint her – by not having stuff out on the net for her to stalk.
This is kind of like my very own program for disadvantaged kids, only its for a psychotic almost-50-year-old-woman. Still, its a service I provide, and it keeps her off the streets, and trust me – the less she is out and about – the safer you all are.
You’re welcome.
I’ve lived in a number of places in the last 10 years – home – Sydney (Australia), then England, Ireland, Colorado, Texas, and now I’ve moved back home to a beach-side town, on the North East Coast of Australia – bringing with me an American husband and 6 year old son.
That’s right, I left a decade ago single and fancy-free, and now I’m back with a ball & chain and an electric ankle bracelet. How things change!
Its been a fun and often eye-opening ride, but its nice to be back home where the weather is fine, the people drive on the correct side of the road, they know what ‘slippery-dip’ and ‘power-points’ are, and Vegemite is a-plenty.
I’m a freelance writer, copy writer and blogger, jobs I kind of lucked into and love more than anything in the world. I have a good life, I’m lucky, and I know it.

So glad you commented on the Notes from Dry Creek Farm blog, as that allowed me to discover your blog. Love your writing style as well as the topics you choose. What other sort of writing do you do?

Well, it’s official. I’m a new subscriber! You have a new “stalker,” only I’m 63. Maybe the fifty-year-old stalker you mentioned (your Mom?) and I can start a fan club. Great blog. Definitely worth subscribing to (now you have to post once a week). All the best. (Don’t worry, I’ve had great experience as a stalker; just ask my girls, ages 27 and 29) 🙂

Hello! Thanks for the subscribe and the wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated!
My mother does stalk, but does so stealthily, she’s pretty smart like that and just turned 60 – perhaps she and you could swap some tips!
My 50-something stalker is the real kind. Its all a little bit fabulous, because the more she and her cohorts visit and link, the higher up my sites go in the rankings, so someday I’m determined to do a post thanking her – its so great that even stalkers have a purpose, no one is dispensable!

Really like your writing. Will be back for more. As far as my mind? Little is going on at this moment. I’m staring at wordpress after a long day of party-planning-preparedness for my newly-minted 17-year-old and her friends. They’re in the other room, coloring large coloring pages of various Disney princesses.
